Chocolatada

You're drinking hot chocolate and it's 90º outside !!

 

The Peruvian tradition is to drink hot chocolate with panetone (an Italian sweetbread filled with raisins and candied fruit) for Christmas, especially at parties. In fact, if you don't have hot chocolate and paneton, it's not a party!
 

 

 

Our hot chocolate is made by heating a can of evaporated milk and an equal amount of water in a sauce pan. Then stir in a bar of chocolate that has sugar, cinnamon and clove in it until it dissolves. Serve warm with a large slice of paneton.
